I'm not ready for this!

I have a terrible fear of Jacob losing his teeth.  I know, it doesn't make any sense (if you've read this blog for any period of time, you probably know about my obsession with teeth).  But, here's the thing.  His smile is perfect.  PERFECT.  Perfectly adorable.  Perfectly white.  Perfectly pearly.  And it's pretty much the last piece of baby on him.  And now they have to come out.  And now he has to go through years of gappy smiles, most likely orthodontic visits, etc.  It just pains me.  PAINS ME!

Because, seriously.  LOOK AT THIS SMILE!

I was brushing his teeth the other night and discovered that one of his "big" bottom teeth had popped up behind his little tooth.  From what I understand, that means these little ones going to go fast.  My heart is going to ache with each lost tooth!  Bye, bye sweet baby smile.  :( :(

Mexico: Margaritas, la piscina, la playa, y mas!

We returned from Mexico over a week ago and I still can't seem to drag my mind out of vacation mode.  It has been impossible to be productive lately!  For the 2nd year in a row, we joined The Robins for a family-fun vacation in Nuevo Vallarta.  We had an AMAZING time once again and the kids are still going on and on about it.  You know that they had a good time when they mention Mexico at least 10 times a day.

I randomly ran into our old wedding photographer at a Birth and Baby Fair I was doing last year and she told me she was spending part of the year shooting in Sayulita, Mexico, only 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta.  Since I knew we headed there at the same time, I asked her to do a shoot for us.  I have to remind myself that these photo shoots always seem like a good idea IN MY HEAD but when it comes time to actually perform them, it is incredibly stressful.  It didn't help that it was an hour cab ride each way and that our kids were dog tired.  BUT, even still, we managed to get some great pictures and I'm thrilled we'll have these to capture our vacation in our memories forever.  We did buy all the files but haven't received them yet, but these were the photos she posted on her blog.  She did a great job and it was fun seeing her again after 7 years (and 2 kids later!)

I have hundreds of pictures from our time in Nuevo Vallarta.  Way too many to post here so I'll just post my favorites.  To see the full album, you can click here.

Most of our days were filled with lazy time by the pool and beach...watching the kids play in the kids water park area, in one of the two amazing wave pools, sliding down the slide and catching happy hour from 11 - 1 everyday (don't judge - you would too if you were in Mexico!)  We did take one day excursion to Las Caletas where there was kayaking, tubing, snorkeling, a mini-cooking class, and a huge buffet.  They also had a kids adventure park where the kids could zip line through the trees and let monkeys jump on their heads.  I have to admit it -- I was a little panicked when Maddie suited up.  I knew Jacob would be fine but I was worried for her (being one of the youngest) but she was a CHAMP.  She didn't get scared once and enjoyed the heck out of herself!  So proud!

I'm so glad we have Disneyland to look forward to next month and Hawaii in June.  Otherwise, I don't know how I would get through each day!  Maybe a noon-time mojita would help.  Ha.  I kid.  Kind of.
