They finally became more and more loose and Mark convinced Jacob one night (June 30th) that it was time for one of them to come out. My friend Nicole had told me to tie a string around the tooth and let Jacob lay in bed and "tug at it". The problem was, Mark couldn't get that silly string to stay on the tooth. It kept slipping off! They must have tied the string on that tooth 20 times.
Finally, after lots of tying and tugging, that little sucker finally came out! And Jacob was SO proud.
And the tooth fairy came to visit that night for the first time and left him $5 (darn inflation!)
He was SO excited about the tooth fairy coming to visit that the very NEXT night, he went to work on his SECOND wiggly tooth. Tying and tugging. Tying and tugging. And the second one came out! This time, he wanted to leave something FOR the tooth fairy. And so the tooth fairy found this waiting for her when she arrived:
What you don't see is on the front of that pink note it says "To: Tooth Fairy. Look on bak" And then clearly on the back it says "We love you". (And the tooth fairy's heart melts). He is such a sweet, sweet boy.
Since those other 2 "big" teeth were already up behind the little ones, there was no gappy smile to look at. In just a couple of short weeks, those teeth had already moved up and filled in the holes that were there. Just amazing!
This awesome kid keeps growing at a speed that I am NOT comfortable with. I know in just a matter of a few more years, he is going to be taller, bigger, stronger than me and it just baffles my brain. Love you sweet Jacob!!!
