Since we knew we'd have a quiet Summer, we decided to put Jacob and Maddie both in an i9 Sports league. It's non competitive and minimal commitment so it was perfect. Jacob wanted to try flag football and Maddie wanted to play soccer. Maddie has taken a few Kidz Love Soccer classes so soccer isn't new to her but this is her first time on an actual "team" (the Panthers). On her very first day out there, that little girl scored 3 goals and won the "weekly sportsmanship" award that week! Needless to say, we were very proud (and impressed!) She didn't hesitate going after the ball and was seriously on top of it the whole time!

She got a medal for the "Sportsmanship award". She was SO excited.

Unfortunately, we haven't gotten any videos of Jacob playing flag football yet but let me tell you, he LOVES it. He has scored a touchdown in both games and really goes after those flags! It's fun to see him embracing a new sport. I imagine he's going to love football as much as his Daddy. More pics and videos to come!
