It's hard to believe but baby Dex is 9 months old! He's doing fantastic and really, REALLY trying to move. He also love, love, loves to hear his own voice. That means lots and lots of screeching which, at times, feels like a hot poker in my eye. Especially if I happened to have had a glass of wine the night before (ha). He's army crawling now and trying so hard to pull himself up on things. He can stand for a while if he's holding on to something. He's clapping now and he does "SO BIG!" if you ask him "How big is Dex?!" and he's starting to give and take things from your hands. He especially likes to give you his cereal stars or his cheerios and put them in your mouth. He eats solids about 3 times a day and likes most things although we just tried to give him level 3 foods (with more chunky pieces in it) and he is NOT a fan. He still has NO teeth! I think I see a dark spot appearing on the bottom but I've been fooled before so I won't believe it until I see that little white edge pop through! He goes to bed around 7 pm and is typically up between 6:30 - 7:00 am. Unfortunately we are still getting up with him once per night, usually between 4-5 am but he normally takes a bottle and goes right back to bed. We know we should be cutting out this feeding but we also know it will take many nights of crying which we just haven't had the energy for. He takes 2 naps a day usually around 9:30 am and 1:30 pm. They last anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour and a half. His morning nap is usually more consistent and the longer one. He has a little brown pony lovie that he is obsessed with. He shoves that thing right up in his mouth (he never took to a paci) when he is trying to go to sleep. I actually ordered another one in fear that we lose this one somewhere! All in all, he is a super content, curious, funny baby. He loves watching his big brother and sister and I know in just a few short months he's going to be chasing them around the house!! We love this little guy so much it's UNREAL!
