Oh Baby

Jacob is quite enamored by all of the baby things that have been placed around the house lately. The baby swing, tummy time mat, pack n play, bouncy seat, etc. We keep reminding him that he is TOO big for these things and that they are out because baby is arriving soon and will need them, but I still find him trying to sneak his way inside.

I'm pretty certain that this bouncy seat was not made to support a 40 lb. toddler.

I also caught him trying to make his way into the baby swing and when we set up the pack n play in our room today, he just had to jump inside.

I'm starting to understand why toddlers "regress" when a younger sibling arrives. This baby isn't even here yet and Jacob is all about being a baby again! He does LOVE to help out mommy and daddy so we are going to try and focus Jacob's attention on being the big brother and helping us take care of baby when he/she arrives.

It still cracks me up though -- he was sitting in that baby seat hitting the ball that goes round and round with beads in it. Just like a little 6 month old!
